Kevin O’Brien leads the Expression team as General Manager. Kevin is an avid oenophile and a WSET Diploma Candidate (Diploma in Wine in Spirits) in his final year of study. Before starting up the brands of Tetra and Expression, Kevin’s worked with the Diageo Chateau and Estates Wine Group in Napa CA and marketing Guinness beer in Japan. Kevin is also an intermediate and advanced WSET certificate holder and in addition to his wine certifications, Kevin holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BA in Economics from UCLA.
Patrick Mahaney is the Expression winemaker. An industry veteran with extensive vineyard experience, Patrick has over 30 years of vineyard and winemaking history. Prior to becoming the Expression winemaker, he had a 24 year career at Robert Mondavi Winery, the final eight of which he was Mondavi's Vice President of Global Wine Quality. Prior to that, Mr. Mahaney was Mondavi's Director of Napa Valley Winemaking Operations. Patrick is a graduate of the UC Davis, with a BS in Biochemistry.
Megan O'Donnell is Expresison's Direct Sales Manager. As a Napa native who grew up with a love of great food and a deep appreciation of the beauty and culture of Napa Valley, Megan developed a natural passion for world class wine.
With a diverse background in retail she began her career in wine sales and marketing in 2002 as the Director of Hospitality for Ballentine Vineyards. During her three years at Ballentine, she opened their retail room, developed a successful direct sales program, managed all aspects of their hospitality and events program and launched their wine club.
Megan has been with the team since the start of the brand and many just know to call Megan when they ever need some wine, or help with that allocation!

Bill Hill is the creative and driving force behind the vineyards and the wine. Bill founded William Hill Winery, Van Duzer, and, most recently, Bighorn Cellars, Expression and Tetra. In 1996, Wine Spectator recognized Mr. Hill as one of the 50 “wine producers who innovated, perfected and led the international campaign for higher quality wine” over the past 30 years. In his 30-year career, Mr. Hill has developed over 40 high-end vineyards, perhaps the most of any developer in the United States. Over that time, Mr. Hill has acquired a level of experience and expertise unmatched in the industry.
Dick Wollack, along with his partner Bill Hill, is co-founder of Premier Pacific Vineyards, the largest developer of high-end vineyards in the U.S. with properties in California (Santa Barbara, Sonoma, Mendocino, and Napa counties), Oregon and Washington. Mr. Wollack holds an MBA with distinction from the Stanford Graduate School of Business (1969) and a BA from the University of Illinois (1967), where he was admitted to Phi Beta Kappa. He lives in St. Helena, California with his wife, Sue.
